As a child, Jon always owned and road dirt bikes.  He built his first custom chopper in 1992 while playing in the Minors.  He would ride the bike across the country to California.  Since that time he has always had some type of motorcycle and been involved with motor sports as well as hockey.

Owner Jon Finstrom is also a Detroit Red Wing Alumni team member and former Professional Hockey player.  Finstrom played 11 years of Professional Hockey with the Pittsburg Penguins Organization, Florida Panthers Organization, in Munich, Germany and Team USA.  As a member of the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Team he plays many charity games throughout the season.

In addition to his playing years, Jon has over 20 years of camp and coaching experience.  He’s been a Head Instructor for the Steve Jensen’s Heartland Hockey camp, Peak Performance, Laura Stamm, Turcott Stick Handling, Robby Glantz, Cougars Selects, and 5-Star Hockey.  Jon’s worked with the Pittsburg Penguins and Phoenix Coyotes Skill coach and trained many professionals over the years.

Jon has run many of his own camps throughout the local community and coached several youth teams over the last 7 years.  He is known for his power skating and stick handling teachings and techniques.

After being named a four time All Star over his 11 years, a career ending illness cut Mr. Finstrom’ s hockey career short after being diagnosed with sinus cancer.  The radiation treatments for his cancer affected his vision.  Mr. Finstrom has 3 children and a beautiful wife who live locally.
